Helpful Links Legal: U.S. Code http://www4.law.cornell.edu/uscode/ Government Contracts: There are many useful acquisition web sites. Here are some of my favorites: The Federal Acquisition Jumpstation, http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/fedproc/home.html. This is the most comprehensive site for federal acquisition. It has a dual function: it serves as a portal to all the federal agency acquisition sites, and it refers you to a acquisition library. (Click the link to Procurement Assistance, then click Procurement Reference Library). The Hill Air Force Base FAR Site, http://farsite.hill.af.mil/. This is the most useful and user-friendly Federal Acquisition Regulation site. One particularly clever feature is an archive of superseded regulations. Another FAR site is maintained by the Acquisition Reform Network at http://www.arnet.gov/far/. FedBizOpps, http://www.eps.gov/, is a site maintained by the Federal General Services Administration. It lists nearly all federal solicitations for bids over $25,000. PubKLaw, a subscription site maintained by former Commerce Department lawyer Jerry Walz, http://www.pubklaw.com/index.html. This site is excellent for acquisition news items, proposed regulations, and recent cases involving federal contracts. Wifcon (“Where in Federal Contracting”), at http://www.wifcon.com/, is a good all-purpose site for recent news and new developments. It also contains a chat room. George Washington University Law School Professor Steve Schooner maintains a site at http://www.law.gwu.edu/facweb/sschooner/default.htm that links to a number of scholarly sites concerning acquisition.
